Behavioral questions

  • Ownership & Initiative

Describe a project where you were the person who made things happen, not just the person assigned to it. What specifically would not have shipped without you? What did you do that nobody asked you to do?

  • Dealing with Ambiguity

Describe a project where the requirements kept shifting. How did you stay effective without losing time to churn? How did you communicate progress when the target was moving?

  • Collaboration & Influence

Describe a cross-team project where you were responsible for coordination but not the direct manager of the people doing the work. How did you keep momentum? How did you handle it when someone else's priorities drifted away from yours?

  • Impact & Outcomes

Describe a project where the outcome was worse than you'd hoped. What did "bad" look like in concrete terms? What did the postmortem turn up, and what did you change about how you approach similar projects?

  • Judgment in Context

Tell me about a time you had to decide between moving fast with more risk and moving carefully with less. How did you think about the cost of being wrong? What signal did you look for along the way, and would you make the same call again?

Practice a behavioral round and the interviewer asks follow-ups on your answers.
