Meta
One coding round in the onsite is reported to be a 60-minute AI-enabled round with an assistant built into the editor.
Candidates and prep sites report that Meta began piloting this round in October 2025 and that it replaces one of the two coding rounds. The assistant is the one inside the interview environment; your own tools are not used. Reports disagree on which models are offered. We could not find a public Meta document describing the round, so confirm with your recruiter.

A small codebase, three pieces of work in order and an assistant in the editor, on a 60-minute clock. Placed runs its three-phase rounds in that shape as "Meta format".
- 01wordlab — Complementary PairsmediumMeta format · 60 minStart here. The assistant makes one mistake in the implement phase; the round scores whether you catch it.
- 02ridgeline — Longest Blocked ViewhardMeta format · 60 minHarder, with a time budget on the last phase that the obvious answer misses.
- 03ledger — Longest Balanced RunmediumMeta format · 60 minA different codebase, so you practice reading unfamiliar code and not this one repo.

These are Placed's own practice rounds, chosen for the kind of round described above. They are not Meta's questions and Placed is not affiliated with Meta. Formats change and differ by team: confirm yours with your recruiter.
